1 Why do you want to study in USA?
I am interested in the history and culture of America. Also, I can learn something I can’t in China.

2 Why do you go to Menaul School?
It’s a formal school. I can learn all the subjects there. This is the first time I leave my parents and I will learn how to get on with others and how to take care of myself.

Why do you go to New Mexico State University?
It is a good chance for me. I can learn  more and touch different cultures.

3 Do you know anything about the school?
I have never been there. I heard it from one of the students. Its administration is very strict.
  Somebody introduced this university(school) to me.

4 Do you know where it is?
(New Mexico State University)Menaul school is in Albuquerque of New Mexico.It is in the south of America.

5 Do you know anything about Albuquerque?
It is an important city in New Mexico. Its nickname is ABQ. It is on high land. In summer, its highest temperature reaches 43 degrees. In winter, it will be 2 degrees below zero.

6 How long will you stay there?
If I start from Grade Ten, I will stay there 3 years.

I will learn English language for preparation. So, I will stay there five years.
7 Will you settle down in USA?
No. It’s not my country. 
8 Why most of Chinese students didn’t come back? 
I think everyone has his own reasons. Many students chose to go on with universities in USA. I’ll surely come back. I am used to living in my hometown.

9 What do you know about America? 
Although USA has a short history, it has the best culture of the world, has the best telants of the world and is the centre of the world’s finance.

10 What is the difference between Chinese schools and those in USA?
American schools encourage students to show their capabilities, but Chinese schools push thousands of thousands to exams.

11 How did you know this school? 
I heard this school through American China Civic Exchange.
12 How did you apply for it? 
I filled out all forms of the school; gave them my study report, told them my family background and let them know my parents’ income.
13 How do you keep in contact with this school?
We can make IP phone calls, send e-mails or chat on line.

14 How much will you pay for your study and life a year?
About thirty thousand US dollars a year. Other expenses such as traveling in the world or going shopping are not included. 
15 When will you start your course in USA? When will you graduate from it?
I will start my course in January of 2016 and I will graduate in 2019. 
16 When will you leave for USA? When will you arrive in USA? 
I will leave in January from my hometown, fly to Los Angeles, and then change my plane to ABQ directly. So, I will arrive in USA before my school opens.
17 Will you live in the campus or outside campus?
I will live in a family near my school. I only have lunch at school.
I‘d like to live in the dormitory of the university.
18 Can you tell me some courses that you will study in USA?
English, math, American history, biology, PE, science.

English grammar, writing, reading, listening and oral English for prepation. 

19 Can you tell me some details about your daily plan?
I’ll get up early to wash myself, have breakfast and have classes in the morning. At noon, I have lunch in the dining-room with teachers and students. I have classes in the afternoon. After dinner, it is my free time. I can do homework, watch TV, surf the internet or do whatever I want. 

20 What is the difficult class you have?
American history seems to be difficult for me because it is new.
I think American history and geography are difficult for I haven’t put time into them.  21 Which school did you graduate from? When did you graduate from it? Where is your school? 
In Wuhan, I graduated from Maple Leaf School in June of 2015. I finished all my courses. I will give up high school in China and go on with it in USA.
In Wenzhou, Zhejiang, I graduated from No. 58 High School in June of 2015.
22 How long have you learned English?
I have learned English for nine years from primary school to junior middle school.

23 What does your father/mother do?
My father has a company that privides road devices. My mum engages in gardening.

My parents run a company that make shoes.
24 What will you do after graduation? What is your plan when you finish/complete your study in USA? 
I will come back to China or enter an American university.

25 What’s your name?
My Chinese name is Ai Yu long and my English name is Alan.
My Chinese name is Chen Yi le but I don’t have an English name.

26 Does your name have any special meaning? Ai is my family name. Yu means better or more. Long means Dragon.
Chen is my family name. Yi le comes from the Holy Bible.

27 You come from Wuhan, the prefecture of Hubei province. Tell me how far is your home from the Yangtze river?
It will take us half an hour to drive if the traffic is good. Otherwise, it will take us one and half hours.

You come from Wenzhou. Tell me something about it.
Wenzhou is one of the three important cities of Zhejiang province. There is a famous mountain called Yandang which takes us two hours to drive to. Wenzhou people are called Jews of the Orient.
28 What kind of food do you like?
I have a dream that I can eat all kinds of food in the world. However, I have a sweet tooth.
I don’t like sweet food but I enjoy eating local cuisine.
29 What is your favorite sport？
I like playing basketball.
30 Do you have any hobbies?
I like playing with my phone and computer. And I enjoy watching movies.

No.I can’t.

I have been to Singapor, Korea, America and Japan.
What is your impression on the city you went to?
I went to Salt Lake city. I found people there are friendly. The city is clean and beautiful.
Singapore is a garden city.It is clean and beautiful. However, the price is high. I like its delicious food.
