同位语从句

同位语从句说明其前面的名词的具体内容。同位语从句通常由that引导，可用于同位语从句的名词有advice, idea, fact, news等。

The news that we won the game is exciting.（主+同从+系+表）　

The news is exciting.　（主+系+表）

That we won the game is exciting.（主从+系+表）

I have no idea when he will come back home.  　　

The thought came to him that Mary had probably fallen ill.

The thought that Mary had probably fallen ill came to him.

试比较下面两个例句: 　　

I had no idea that you were here．（that引导同位语从句，不能省略） 　　

The possibility that the majority of the labour force will work at home is often discussed.(同位语从句)

We are not looking into the question whether he is worth trusting. (同位语从句)

Word came that he had been abroad. (同位语从句)

Word that he had been abroad came.
